Big news in the world of E&M Coding
As an organization dedicated to client service, we want to keep you apprised of major updates
in the healthcare industry. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently
announced potential changes to the Evaluation & Management (E&M) documentation and
coding system, primarily for codes 99202-99205 and 99212-99215. The consensus is that the
current set of 10 CPT codes for new and established office visits no longer appropriately
reflects the services needed across various medical specialties.
