Medicare Telehealth Services Waiver Expires

Effective October 1, 2025, the Medicare waiver for telehealth services has expired. This means that, in most cases, providers will no longer be reimbursed for telehealth visits delivered to Medicare beneficiaries in their homes. The pre-pandemic and facility restrictions that were in place prior to the COVID-19 pandemic have returned.

Although previous deadlines have been extended, it is unknown at this time whether an extension is included in the reconciliation bill that is now the cause of the federal government shutdown.

We’ll continue to keep you updated on further developments. In the meantime, please feel free to contact Cg’s Healthcare Solutions with questions.
